At AI Dental, we believe in caring for your family’s oral health for life, and that starts in childhood.
We encourage families to bring their children to the dentist regularly from around two years of age.
Early, positive dental experiences help children build trust, confidence and life-long healthy habits. It also helps prevent dental anxiety and phobias later in life.
Our team provides a gentle, fun and reassuring environment, and as a general dental practice, we can perform most children’s dental treatments in-house wherever possible
Children’s Dentistry focuses on monitoring and caring for the oral health of babies, toddlers, school-aged children and teenagers.
These early years are crucial for teaching good brushing habits, guiding proper tooth and jaw development, and preventing issues before they begin.
At AI Dental, we take a preventive, education-focused approach, helping kids feel relaxed and involved in their own dental care while supporting parents with practical advice.
We offer a full range of dental care for children, including:
Routine check-ups & cleans (gentle, age-appropriate and educational)
Fissure sealants to protect deep grooves in molars
Fluoride treatments for stronger, cavity-resistant teeth
Dental fillings (white/tooth-coloured) for early decay
X-rays if needed for growth and development assessment
Mouthguards for sports and active kids
Early orthodontic assessments to monitor jaw growth and tooth alignment
Management of baby teeth issues (loose teeth, early or late eruption)
Dental emergencies (toothaches, knocked teeth, infections)
before they become painful or costly

Here’s what families can expect at AI Dental:
We take time to help your child feel relaxed and safe. They can explore the room, ask questions, and take things at their own pace.
The dentist will check their gums, teeth, bite and overall oral health. This is always done in a child-friendly, reassuring way.
We gently clean their teeth and show them proper brushing and flossing techniques in a fun, simple way they can follow at home
If needed, we may recommend fluoride, sealants or X-rays depending on age and risk level.
If cavities or concerns are found, we will explain all options clearly. As a general dentist, we can provide most treatments in-house, and only refer when highly specialised care is needed.
We encourage regular 6-12 monthly check-ups to keep little smiles healthy and confident.
We offer a range of professional children’s dentistry packages tailored to your needs and budget. From convenient take-home kits to advanced in-chair treatments, we have the perfect solution for your smile transformation.

We recommend bringing your child from around two years of age, or earlier if you have any concerns. Early visits help build confidence and allow us to monitor healthy tooth and jaw development.
Children should come every 6–12 months, depending on their risk level. Regular check-ups help prevent decay and catch issues early.
Yes, as a general dental practice, we can provide most children’s treatments, including cleans, fillings, sealants, fluoride and emergency care. We only refer if highly specialised treatment is needed.
That’s very common, and we’re here to help. We use a gentle, slow, child-friendly approach to help kids feel safe and relaxed. We explain each step in simple, reassuring language.
Yes. Dental X-rays use very low radiation and are safe for children when needed. They help us assess tooth development and detect issues that can’t be seen visually.
We aim to keep children’s dental care affordable for families. If you have private health insurance, most routine services attract on-the-spot rebates with HICAPS.
Many families are also eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), which provides up to $1,095 in dental benefits over two years for children aged 0–17. This can be used for check-ups, cleans, X-rays, fissure sealants, fillings and extractions.
If you’re unsure whether your child is eligible, we can check this for you in the clinic, simply ask our team.
We have payment plans with zero deposit and no interest, starting from as little as $53 per week which means patients can get started immediately!
